National Hispanic Leadership Agenda Unveiled Latino Public Policy Priorities at National Press Club

NHLA will host public policy forums during Democratic and Republican conventions WASHINGTON, DC – The National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA) Board of Directors held a news conference on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the National Press Club, in Washington, DC at 12:00 P.M. presenting the 2008 Hispanic Public Policy Agenda.  The NHLA will also announce details for their presence at this year’s Democratic and Republican Conventions.  NHLA calls on the presidential candidates, elected and government officials, civic and business leaders, and the media to hear the voices of the Latino community across the United States, understand their concerns, and act on its priorities as outlined in the Agenda in six issue areas including: education, civil rights, immigration, economic development, health and government accountability.  For more about the 2008 NHLA agenda please click on attachment below.
