The San Juan Children’s Choir was founded in 1966 by its current director, Evy Lucio Córdova. Children ranging from 5 to 15 years of age receive intensive music training including languages and instruments that enhance their vast repertoire. The choir has traveled extensively, singing with major orchestras and music festivals in renowned theaters. Their Carnegie Hall recital in 1996 was extraordinarily received by New York audiences and critics alike. They are known world-wide and have performed live in Russia, China and other countries. The San Juan Children’s Choir has also performed at many famous buildings and festivals, and sung for many celebrities and world leaders.

Jóvenes participantes de los programas de ASPIRA de Puerto Rico participaron del foro ciudadano realizado en el Residencial Yuquiyú de Loiza auspiciado por El Nuevo Día y Coauspiciado por otras entidades entre ellas,CAPEDCOM,UMET . Los jóvenes propusieron la creación de un museo para salvaguardar la herencia cultural de Loiza Y la celebración de un Congreso de Jóvenes. Ambas propuestas recibieron gran acogida y recibieron el compromiso de darle seguimiento.
