Evaluations Results of ASPIRA of Florida Youth Leadership Development Program Performed by FAU Demonstrates Program Effectiveness

ASPIRA of Florida, Inc., and Florida Atlantic University established an alliance to evaluate the efficacy of some of ASPIRA’s modules. Specifically, the ASPIRA evaluation project consisted of the empirical assessment of the modules “Cultural Awareness,” “Self-Esteem,” and “Career Awareness.” RAul Martinez, President of ASPIRA of Florida indicated "We believed that the three modules were central to the overall nature of ASPIRA as an intervention designed to reduce school drop-out and other negative factors that may impede the success of Latino and other youth.

Palm Beach CC and ASPIRA of FL officials want all students with Latino roots to update their academic records and document their ethnicity.

LAKE WORTH — Palm Beach Community College officials want every one of their students with Latino roots to update their academic records and document their ethnicity.  The goal is to show that at least 25 percent of the student body at PBCC is Hispanic, which will allow the college to apply for the federal government's Hispanic Serving Institution designation and be in line to receive potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant money.

Results of a Programmatic Review of County-wide After-School Board Funded Programs Found ASPIRA of Florida Programs Outstanding

The evaluation performed by the Mimai-Dade County School Board evaluated the programs delivered by Boys and Girls Club, ASPIRA of Florida and The Alternative Programs, inc.  The results of this evaluation indicated that ASPIRA clubs are safe, enriching after-school care sites which offer numerous activities to students. They are part of a national program which has a reputation as a superior place of fun and learning. Participants enjoy the company of their peers while being under the close supervision of responsible, nurturing personnel who help them to socialize and learn. Mr.

ASPIRA of Florida announces the opening of the Haiti Emergency Leadership Program (H.E.L.P.) Center for Youth

ASPIRA of Florida, Inc, the largest Hispanic youth organization in the country, announces the opening of the Haiti Emergency Leadership Program (H.E.L.P.) Center for Youth.
